After a two-weak break, the Parisians made their return to training on Friday 4 January. Coming up: a trip to Lorient to face Pontivy (National 3) in the Coupe de France's round of 64.

At the conclusion of a super-successful 2018, 2019 is shaping up as another year of stellar achievements. But the first step for the Parisians in the new year is this clash with Pontivy. Four-time reigning champs, Les Rouge et Bleu will being their title defence at the Stade du Moustoir in Lorient.

January will be a busy month for the Parisians, who returned to the training grounds at the Ooredoo Training Center on Friday to begin preparations for this match, which is set to kick off at 20:45 on Sunday night.

Under the watchful gaze of Thomas Tuchel and his staff, the squad - minus a small number of absentees - got back into the swing of things with some technical and tactical exercises following a short conditioning session.

Les Rouge et Bleu will kick on as Guingamp come calling at the Parc des Princes for the Coupe de la Ligue quarters on Wednesday, with a trip to Amiens for beginning of the second half of the Ligue 1 season on Saturday 12 January.
