Arnau Tenas: 'I wanted to be part of this project'

The young Spanish goalkeeper gave his first interview to Paris Saint-Germain's media channels, after signing for the club.

Hello Arnau, and welcome to your new family! How did you feel when it all came together with Paris Saint-Germain?

"It was an immense source of joy to know that one of the best clubs in the world was interested in me. I am incredibly proud to sign here. And now I just want to thank Paris Saint-Germain for this opportunity."

So what was behind your decision to sign for Paris Saint-Germain?

"First and foremost for what it is. It's a great club, as are the people who are part of it. I wanted to be part of this project, which is global in its nature. I'm very happy to be here."

Did the arrival of the new coach, Luis Enrique, have an impact on your decision?

"I already knew him from the past. I played for him with the national team. It's true that I know him a little, but everyone knows that he is a top coach!"

It will be your first experience abroad. What are your objectives with Les Rouge et Bleu?

"There is only one, it's to win as much as possible and to fight for everything we play for. Because I know that this team and squad can do it. I know that it's a very good squad, I have only heard positive things and I think we can achieve great things together."

How would you define yourself as a goalkeeper?

"I would say that I am a goalkeeper with a lot of personality, lots of character. I am not afraid of anything. And I think that I am a very agile goalkeeper, very comfortable with the ball at feet. I already want to train and learn."

We can't talk about your position without mentioning our goalkeeper Sergio Rico

"It's complicated what happened for him and his family. Of course, I want to send him my unconditional support. It's a difficult time for them, and we need to be as positive as possible. And so I want to send my thoughts to all of his family. I am sending them all of my strength."

Finally, you're going to discover our stadium and our supporters. We imagine that you can't wait?

"Yes, of course. I can't wait to get out onto the pitch. I know about the atmosphere, it's incredible. I can't wait to meet all of the supporters."

Do you have a message for them?

"Yes, I want to tell you that I'm really looking forward to seeing you all. I know what it's like to be part of PSG. I've heard great things about you. I can't wait to see you at the stadium and above all, we're going to do everything we can to win."
