The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder shared his joy and ambitions after extending his contract.

Angel, you have just extended your contract... How are you feeling?
"First and foremost, I am very happy! I am very happy to have been able to extend my adventure with Paris Saint-Germain for another year, with an additional year as an option. I think that it's something that is very important for me. I have always said that I am very happy in Paris, and my family is too. My daughters love Paris, their school, their friends. My desire was therefore to continue here because I feel good at the club and in this city. If I have renewed my contract, it's also because the club is happy with me, and equally because the coach is happy. I hope to be able to make my name in the club's history."

Since your arrival, you have played and continue to play alongside some great players...
"In six years, I have seen players who have made history here, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani… Now I am playing with Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappé, players who continue to make history for this club and who want to continue to do so, and that is something that is very, very important for me. Not everyone gets the chance to play with the best. Since I have been here, I have had that opportunity and I always try to make the most of it."

Since 2015, you have picked up 99 assists for Paris Saint-Germain…
"I have been a bit anxious in recent matches as I try to reach 100 assists! It's something that is very important for me. Then I will look to overtake Safet Susic's 103 assists, which is the current club record. It would be very important because it would remain in the club's history books, it would be written forever, until another player has the opportunity to overtake me and take his turn to make history. I hope that this extension will allow me to reach these targets."
