Ander Herrera makes loan move permanent at Athletic Bilbao

After initially joining Athletic Bilbao on loan, Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has joined the Basque club on a permanent basis.

Ander Herrera came through the youth academy of Real Zaragoza, where he turned pro in 2008. After three seasons there, he switched to his hometown and joined Athletic Bilbao.

In 2014, he moved to the English Premier League with Manchester United. Over five years with the Red Devils, he played in 189 games, scoring 20 goals.

In summer 2019, the midfielder joined Paris Saint-Germain. In three seasons, he made 95 competitive appearances and won two French league titles, two Coupes de France, one Coupe de la Ligue and two Trophée des Champions.
