Ander Herrera: 'Definitely a tough game'

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder told us his hopes for Wednesday's Coupe de France final against Monaco.

Ander, the Coupe de France final is coming up....

"It's a very important competition for us. Playing at the Stade de France, which is a legendary venue, full of history, it's always something great."

Paris are the holders. What do you remember of last year's final?
"We had a great run, and it was a really difficult final against Saint-Etienne. It was in what was still at the time a very special context. We were happy to win the game, but we have to keep going in that same vein, always working more to keep picking up trophies."

This final will be against Monaco...
"They're a very good team, well organised. A team that has a lot of individual and collective quality. And of course they'll also want to win this trophy after a few years without one...They've got a lot of experience, so it'll definitely be a tough game. We have won the Trophée des Champions, we want to bring home the Coupe de France too."

You've lost twice to Monaco this season. Are Paris favourites for this game?
"The pressure of being favourites is there, but we have to accept it and take it as a given that we are. We have lost twice against them this season, and we must win this game to be able to lift the cup. We also have players of great quality in the team. We have a lot of respect for Monaco, but we want to win this trophy."
