Ander Herrera: 'A big challenge'

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder faced the media ahead of Tuesday's UEFA Champions League game with Manchester City.

MANCHESTER CITY

"We have a lot of respect for City, they're a fantastic team. It's a really big challeng, but it mustn't be forgotten there are two other teams in the group who have the ambition of qualifying. Brugge and Leipzig have to be respected. Each match is a challenge for us. It's the biggest game of the season for every team when they play us. We have to accept it. We're going to play a very strong and solid team in a competition that makes both players and fans dream. We're going to show that we want to win every match.

"They pressed well against Chelsea, but this will be a different match. We'll have to show character to keep the ball even under pressure. We're aware of our qualities. We have players who can win games and be very dangerous in small spaces. The key will perhaps to be more clinical than last season."

THE TEAM

"We have players that can make the difference, that win games for us, but to succeed we need everyone. That's my job, I'm a team player. I try to always be available. We have stars in the team, incredible players, but we need a strong block at the back to battle for them and to help them make the difference. I'm proud to be part of this team. It's a pleasure for me to do the work I do."

SPIRIT

"We'll have to play with a positive attitude. We know what everyone expects of us, but we like that. That's what we're here for. We take that responsibility happily. There are perhaps 10 teams that can win the Champions League. We're aware of the expectations on our team, but we're playing in an elite competition. Nothing can be predicted and that's why there are always big surprises in the Champions League."
