Strasbourg have never won at the Parc des Princes in 33 previous visits, only avoiding defeat on eight occasions. The Alsatians hold the record for the longest streak without a win in Paris, 'beating' the 31 games of Bastia in 2018.

Twenty-five players have featured for both teams: Albert Baning, Carlos Bianchi, François Brisson, José Cobos, Amara Diané, Franck Dja Djédjé, Youri Djorkaeff, Raymond Domenech, Pierre Ducrocq, Richard Dutruel, Vincent Fernandez, Kevin Gameiro, Xavier Gravelaine, Jean-Noël Huck, Danijel Ljuboja, Francis Llacer, Peguy Luyindula, Pascal Nouma, Jacki Novi, Godwin Okpara, Grégory Paisley, Francis Piasecki, Stéphane Pichot, Bruno Rodriguez and Toko.

Dominique Rocheteau leads the club's goalscorers against Strasbourg with six. He comes out on top ahead of Christian (5), Edinson Cavani and George Weah (4), Paul Le Guen and Pedro Miguel Pauleta (3).

Christian scored all four goals in a 4-2 win over Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes on 26 January, 2000.

THE STAKES..

The Rouge et Bleu will hope to finish the year with a win, and they have won their previous five ultimate games in a calendar year: 3-0 vs. Caen (19/12/2015), 5-0 vs. Lorient (21/12/2016), 3-1 vs. Caen (20/12/2017), 1-0 vs. Nantes (22/12/2018) 4-1 vs. Amiens (21/12/2019).

This will be the Parisians' 46th game of 2020: 32 wins, 5 draws and 8 losses to date. It's been a historic year with league title, Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue wins as well as a place in the UEFA Champions League final.

KEYS TO THE match...

Paris Saint-Germain have never played as late in the year at the Parc des Princes since 1972. The previous record came with a 4-0 win over Grenoble on 23 December, but with a 7pm CET kick-off.

This will be the fifth time Strasbourg come to the Parc des Princes for the final game of the year:  1977 (2-2, 11/12), 1993 (2-0, 11/12), 1994 (1-0, 18/12) and 1998 (0-0, 16/12). It will set a new club record for Paris, who have played Rennes and Lille four times each at home to close out a calendar year.
