All you need to know: Paris Saint-Germain - Dijon FCO

The stakes, the stats and the history of Saturday's Ligue 1 encounter at the Parc des Princes.

A little history...

It's the duo's 16th competitive meeting. The Rouge et Bleu have won 13 of those games, losing just twice (26 October 2011 (2-3) in the Coupe de la Ligue Last 16 and 1 November 2019 (1-2) in Ligue 1.

Dijon are the only side never to have scored a competitive goal at the Parc des Princes in six visits (5 in Ligue 1, 1 in Coupe de France).

A record could fall on Saturday: Auxerre went 622 minutes without scoring against Paris in the 2000s. If the Paris defence holds out for 83 minutes or more, Dijon will break that record.

Four players have featured for both teams: Sylvain Bied, Vedad Ibisevic, Granddi Ngoyi and Younousse Sankharé. Arthur Zagre has not yet played a competitive game for Dijon

Kylian Mbappé has scored a club-high eight goals against Dijon ahead of teammate Angel Di Maria (6 goals). The Paris number 7 has scored at least once in his last five competitive appearances against Dijon.

The stakes...

Paris Saint-Germain would like to forget about Tuesday's UEFA Champions League defeat to Manchester United (2-1) and stretch their run of Ligue 1 wins to six games (Metz 1-0, Nice 3-0, Reims 2-0, Angers 6-1, Nîmes 4-0) and they could finish the weekend top of the table depending on Lille's result at Nice on Sunday.

Alessandro Florenzi, who scored against Angers (6-1, 02/10/2020) and Nîmes (4-0, le 16/10/2020) could become the first Paris defender to score in three successive league games.

The keys to the match...

The Parisians have scored 24 times in six home games against Dijon, that's an average of four goals a game!

Neymar Jr has good memories of Dijon after scoring four times against them on 17 January 2018 (8-0).

Mbappé could close in on the club's all-time top-five leading scorers: he's got 94 goals, and is just four behind Mustapha Dahleb (98 goals 1974-'83).
