The history, the stakes and the keys to the game! Find out all you need to know ahead of the game between Paris Saint-Germain and LOSC Lille on Matchday 24 of Ligue 1, this Sunday at 13:00 CET at the Parc des Princes.

A BIT OF HISTORY...

Paris Saint-Germain and Lille will be facing each other in a competitive fixture for the 100th time across all competitions. The record currently sits in Paris's favour, with 42 wins, 25 draws and 32 losses. Lille will thereby become the sixth club to reach the symbolic milestone of 100 games played against Paris, following Bordeaux, Monaco (110 games each), Lyon (105 games), Marseille and Nantes (104 games each).

In the first-ever game between the two teams, Les Parisiens won the first trophy in their history in the form of the National title (now Ligue 2), as they beat Lille 4-2 at the Stade Jean Bouin on 12th June 1971.

26 players have played for both teams: Jocelyn Angloma, Mathieu Bodmer, François Brisson, Bernard Bureau, Yohan Cabaye, Aliou Cissé, Lucas Digne, Oumar Dieng, Pierre Dréossi, Pierre-Alain Frau, Idrissa Gueye, Jonathan Ikoné, Mickaël Landreau, Bernard Lama, Christophe Landrin, Edvin Murati, Pascal Nouma, Bernard Pardo, Christian Perez, Stéphane Pichot, Jacky Planchard, Thierry Rabat, David Rozehnal, Younousse Sankharé, Amara Simba and Timothy Weah.

Kylian Mbappé and Dominique Rocheteau are Paris Saint-Germain's top scorers against Lille with eight goals scored each, ahead of Safet Sušić (seven goals), Neymar Jr (six goals), Edinson Cavani, Lucas (five goals each), Jean-Claude Bras and Pedro Miguel Pauleta (four goals each).

Five of Paris Saint-Germain's six fastest top-flight goals have been scored against Lille by the following players: Kylian Mbappé (00:08, away, 21st August 2022), Maxwell (00:26, at home, 25th April 2015), Zlatan Ibrahimović (00:27, away, 2nd September 2012), Nordine Kourichi (00:45, O.G., at home, 22nd October 1983) and Safet Sušić (00:48, at home, 20th October 1990).

THE STAKES...

Paris, who can't be caught by second-placed Marseille this weekend due to the five-point gap between the two teams going into Matchday 24, are set to reach the symbolic milestone of 60 matchdays spent at the top of the Ligue 1 table.

Paris are also on a run of 33 league games without defeat at the Parc des Princes, with 28 wins and five draws in that time. Les Rouge et Bleu's last Ligue 1 loss on home soil dates back to 3rd April 2021, when they were beaten 1-0 by... Lille. The club record in this respect is 41 games, in between a 2-0 loss to Monaco on 20th March 2016 and a 2-0 loss to Rennes on 12th May 2018. If Paris avoid defeat against LOSC on Sunday, their current streak will break into the top three longest of its kind in the club's history, behind the 39-game run in between 18th March 1992 (a 1-0 loss to Marseille) and 11th January 1995 (a 3-0 loss to Nantes) and level with the 34-game run in between 7th April 2014 (a 2-1 loss to Rennes) and 20th March 2016 (the aforementioned 2-0 loss to Monaco).

The club from the capital's goalscorers seem to enjoy playing against Lille, as Les Dogues have conceded 141 goals against Paris Saint-Germain, behind Saint-Étienne (167 goals), Lyon (162 goals), Nantes (153 goals), Lens (151 goals), Bordeaux, Marseille (148 goals each) and Metz (143 goals).

THE KEYS TO THE GAME...

This will be Paris-Saint-Germain's 10th league match to be played a 13:00, the fourth at the Parc des Princes after Saint-Étienne (3-2, on 18/04/2021), Bordeaux (3-0, on 13/03/2022) and Auxerre (5-0, on 12/11/2022). In 9 encounters played at this time, they have won 7 and lost 2.

With 81 goals to his name for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, Neymar Jr is closing in on the club's top five goalscorers: Edinson Cavani (138 goals), Kylian Mbappé (132 goals), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (113 goals), Mustapha Dahleb (85 goals) and Dominique Rocheteau (83 goals).

Kylian Mbappé has scored 196 goals in all competitions and is just four goals away from the club's all-time top scorer: Edinson Cavani.
