A little bit of history...

100th competitive game between the two sides, only four teams have face the Parisians more than Nantes: Bordeaux (108 matches), Monaco (105 matches), Lyon (101 matches) and Marseille (100 matches).
The club from the capital have had the best of the fixture with 48 wins, 23 draws and 28 defeats. In the last 26 competitive games between the teams since October 2004 the Rouge et Bleu have only lost once, on April 17 2019 (2-3), and had 23 wins and two draws.

The Rouge et Bleu are on a run of 14 straight victories over the Nantais in competitive home games, the second longest run in the club's history after the 16 wins against Bastia (from 1981 to 2001). In the Parisians' previous 14 wins Nantes have only scored four times and conceded 37.

Paris Saint-Germain haven't lost to Nantes at the Parc des Princes for over 18 years and December 9 2002, when they lost in the Coupe de la Ligue round of 32 (2-3). Ronaldinho was stunned by Mickaël Landreau, who stopped the Brazilian star's penalty.

The Parisian forwards are often on form against the Canaris, having scored at least a goal in each of the last 23 games between the two teams  since the 0-0 draw at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Ligue 1 on February 25 2006. It's a record run for Paris Saint-Germain, ahead of Saint-Etienne (22 matches) and Bordeaux (21).

Nantes will also play their 50th competitive game at the Parc des Princes against the Parisians. Only Bordeaux (54 matches) and Marseille (50) have reached that landmark.

29 players have played for both clubs: Jérôme Alonzo, Sylvain Armand, Claude Arribas, Jean-Hugues Ateba, Jean-Kevin Augustin, William Ayache, Michel Bibard, Lorik Cana, Bruno Carotti, Dominique Casagrande, Benoit Cauet, Eric Cubilier, Xavier Gravelaine, Vahid Halilhodzic, Antoine Kombouaré, Mickaël Landreau, Nicolas Laspalles, Dominique Leclercq, Paul Le Guen, Yvon le Roux, Patrice Loko, Claude Lowitz, Claude Makelele, Granddi N’Goyi, Nicolas Ouédec, Fabrice Pancrate, Fabrice Poullain, Alioune Touré and Mario Yepes.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani are Paris Saint-Germain's top scorers against Nantes, haing notched nine times each. Pedro Miguel Pauleta trails them with six goals.

Three Parisian players have managed Nantes for the last three years: Vahid Halilhodzic, Raymond Domenech and Antoine Kombouaré.

What's at stake...

Paris Saint-Germain are on the back of two straight wins away from home in Ligue 1 , in Dijon (4-0) and in Bordeaux (1-0), picking up two more points than their two rivals for the title Lille and Lyon over the same period.

The keys to the match...

Kylian Mbappé should make his 100th appearance for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 against Nantes. The Parisian striker has scored 82 goals in 99 games in the Rouge et Bleu shirt, and is close to both Dominique Rocheteau (83 goals) and Mustapha Dahleb (85 goals).

Leandro Paredes could make his 50th Ligue 1 appearance.

Angel Di Maria will want to celebrate his contract extension by providing his 100th assist in competitive games and get closer to Safet Susic's record (103, from 1982 to 1991).
