All hail the world champions!
It was a special day at the Ooredoo Training Centre where the club's World Cup winners were given a special tribute by their teammates and the club's staff.

After their return to Paris on Monday when they underwent the usual barrage of medical and physical tests along with the other players who had featured for their countries at the World Cup, Presnel Kimpembe, Alphonse Areola and Kyian Mbappé were given a special surprise when they arrived at the Ooredoo Centre on Tuesday. The first thing they would have seen was themselves, staring down from the training centre's newly redecorated facade.

They then went through the players' tunnel to the training pitches under blue, white and red lights, and when they stepped onto the turf, a further surprise awaited: smoke and confetti canons fired - like on an evening celebrating a title win at the Parc des Princes - before they joined their teammates, all of whom were wearing a special kits for the occasion, for a training session.

It was a total surprise for the happy trio for whom the day will live long in the memory.
