Here is a complete wrap up of the international break for Paris Saint-Germain's 20 national team players during the September 2024 window.
WARREN ZAÏRE-EMERY / BRADLEY BARCOLA / OUSMANE DEMBELÉ / RANDAL KOLO MUANI - FRANCE
France, led by Warren Zaïre-Emery, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé and Randal Kolo Muani, lost 3-1 to Italy at the Parc des Princes, despite Barcola scoring the fastest goal in Les Bleus' history. The Parisians were certainly in the spotlight during this break, with goals from Kolo Muani and Dembélé in the 2-0 UEFA Nations League victory over Belgium a few days later.
GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA - ITALY
Gianluigi Donnarumma and Italy kicked off their Nations League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Les Bleus at the Parc des Princes, before following up with a 2-1 win over Israel in Hungary. The Parisian ‘keeper played in both matches.
NUNO MENDES / JOÃO NEVES / VITINHA - PORTUGAL
Nuno Mendes, João Neves and Vitinha won twice, both times at home in the Nations League and both times by the same score: 2-1. First against Croatia, in which Nuno Mendes provided an assist, and then against Scotland, against whom the Parisian left-back again set up Ronaldo for his side's second goal.
FABIAN RUIZ - SPAIN
Fabian Ruiz's Spain began their Nations League campaign with a 0-0 draw in Serbia. The reigning European champions then went on to beat Switzerland 4-1 at home, against whom our midfielder scored twice!
MILAN SKRINIAR - SLOVAKIA
Milan Skriniar's Slovakia won both their matches without conceding a single goal. First in Estonia, 1-0, then at home against Azerbaijan. The Parisian central defender played in both matches!
ACHRAF HAKIMI - MOROCCO
Achraf Hakimi’s Morocco have started the qualifying phase for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Having already qualified for the finals as hosts, the Atlas Lions nonetheless beat Gabon 4-1 in Agadir, before edging out Lesotho 1-0, also in Agadir. Hakimi played the full 90 minutes in both matches.
LUCAS BERALDO / MARQUINHOS - BRAZIL
Our Brazilians enjoyed mixed fortunes as they continued their qualifying campaign for the next FIFA World Cup. A 1-0 home win over Willian Pacho's Ecuador was followed by a narrow defeat in Paraguay. The Paris captain played in both matches, while Lucas Beraldo did not feature.
WILLIAN PACHO - ECUADOR
It was the same fate for El Tri. They lost 1-0 to the Auriverde and then won 1-0 against Peru at home, as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Willian Pacho played both matches in their entirety.
LEE KANG-IN - KOREA REPUBLIC
Lee Kang-In's Korea Republic also played in the Asian Zone qualifiers for the next World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada. A goalless draw against Palestine at home was followed by a convincing 3-1 win in Oman, with our twirling midfielder providing an assist in that match.
DÉSIRÉ DOUÉ - FRANCE U21
As part of the qualifying phase for the UEFA U21 Championship Slovakia 2025, Désiré Doué's U21 France team drew 1-1 with Slovenia at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers, with the new Parisian scoring the equaliser after a fine individual display. They followed up with a 2-0 victory a few days later against Bosnia; Désiré Doué did not take part in that match.
SENNY MAYULU - FRANCE U20
Senny Mayulu's France U20 team met Switzerland twice, and both times Les Bleuets came out on top. Although he earned his first cap in the category in the first match, Mayulu scored his first goal for the U20s in the second!
YORAM ZAGUE - FRANCE U19
Yoram Zague's U19 France team won the Slovenia Cup! Les Bleuets beat the Republic of Ireland, Mexico and Poland. Three wins in as many matches, and a new trophy for Zague!
IBRAHIM MBAYE - FRANCE U18
A draw, a win and a defeat for Ibrahim Mbaye's French U18 team at the Lafarge Foot Avenir 2024 tournament. With a draw against Portugal, a win on penalties against Switzerland and a defeat on penalties against England, the France U18 side finished third.
