A win in Reims to keep the 100% start!

Paris Saint-Germain won in Reims in matchday 4 of Ligue 1 after another spectacular performance (0-2). Here's how it went down!

In the excitement of a packed Stade Auguste Delaune, electrified by Leo Messi's presence on the Parisian bench, the club from the capital approached their fourth Ligue 1 match with the ambition of racking up a fourth consecutive victory. In the last match before the international break, Mauricio Pochettino started Neymar Jr and Di Maria for the first time this season to support Kylian Mbappé up front.

The match started at 100 km/h, punctuated by the Rémois’ courageous bursts forward, but it is precisely from the n°7 that the breakthrough came! After a perfect cross from Di Maria, the French international rose higher than anyone else to head the ball home powerfully! (0-1 15').

It was an opportunity for some players to fine-tune their skills on the pitch, such as Di Maria and Hakimi on the right flank, or the duo of Verratti and Wijnaldum in the middle of the park. And Keylor Navas kept a close eye on the ball, as he did with the only shot on target, which was well saved (39'), before the Costa Rican saved by a long-range shot by Moreto Cassama (41').

Oscar Garcia's players had to score to stay in the game, and Munetsi even scored a goal that was eventually flagged offside (51'). This move underlined the opposition’s quality in this match. Our Rouge et Bleu were not able to relax in a second half that became more and more open. The Moroccan Hakimi then set up Kylian Mbappé, who scored with a left-footed shot from close range (0-2, 63').

And after these goals there was something that no one could explain: the ground's excitement. As with Leo Messi came on for the final 25 minutes, this matchday 4 Ligue 1 went down in history by welcoming one of the greatest of all time. And those shivers he caused could not be explained...

Paris went on to win 0-2, ending the month of August without a single defeat - and with four wins in as many games! And it is in the leader's seat that the club of the capital can now let its internationals join up with their national teams.
