A new debut for the Hechter white jersey!

Paris Saint-Germain play Sochaux tonight in a friendly at the Parc des Princes and will wear the new away jersey for the 2020-21 season, first seen back in 1994.

On 29 July 1994, a little of 26 years ago, Paris Saint-Germain began the season away to Le Havre with their brand new white away strip.

That first match may have ended scoreless, however the white jersey became the away shirt for the next five seasons (1994 to 1999), with many highlights along the way, such as the fabulous George Weah goal against Bayern Munich in 1994 or Youri Djorkaeff's winner away to Deportivo La Coruna in 1996.

The famous shirt returned to the scene in 2007-08 with two more unforgettable matches: a 2-1 win over Lens in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue at the Stade de France; and the final day heroics in the league, away to... Sochaux to stay in the top flight.

On 1 November 2008, Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-0 to Nice - it was the last time this white shirt with the red stripe tasted defeat before it's return tonight, versus Sochaux.
