A big win against Le Mans to kick things off

Paris Saint-Germain won impressively in the friendly against Le Mans (4-0).

Paris start well! In their first pre-season game, the club from the capital looked in shape, against Le Mans, this Wednesday 14 July, next to the Ooredoo training ground. For this game, Mauricio Pochettino lined up in a 4-4-2 formation with five academy players starting, and the captain's armband being given to Idrissa Gueye.

And the Parisians didn't take long to put their mark on the game. Julian Draxler had a shot that was parried by the Mans keeper before  Mauro Icardi headed the rebound home to open the scoring (1-0, 12').

Starting as a right back, Achraf Hakimi made an impression from the off. And the new signing then set Ismael Gharbi up expertly after a counter attack to give his teammate the second goal of the game (2-0, 35').

The young 17 year-old parisian who looked spritely nearly scored his second two minutes later as his effort crashed against keeper Pierre Patron's post.

In the second period, half the team had been changed by Mauricio Pochettino, with ten academy players making it into the eleven, as  Thilo Kehrer got the captain's armband.

It was Fadiga who scored to make it three (3-0, 87'), after being played in by Xavi Simons, and the Dutchman turned goalscorer as his right-footed effort found the back of the net (4-0, 91').

With nine shots and seven on target leading to four goals, the Parisians did their job. The next game will take place on Saturday in a second friendly against Chambly this time, once more at the Ooredoo Centre.
