Women's team visits patients at the Necker Hospital for sick children - AP-HP

Following on from the PSG Handball players’ visit last January, today Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team paid a visit to the young patients at the Necker Hospital for Sick Children – AP-HP. As part of the agreement signed in 2012 between the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation and the Necker Hospital for Sick Children – AP-HP, Paris Saint-Germain’s three professional teams visit the hospital every year.

The players, divided into small groups, visited the rooms of the children, giving them a chance to talk, take pictures and receive gifts. These visits have become a highly anticipated moment for the children and their parents, as well as the medical staff who care for them on a daily basis.

The whole squad was present for the occasion, getting as much back as they gave as they build up their energy ahead of some big games, including their upcoming UEFA Women's Champions League tie with Chelsea.

"I'm really touched to participate in this for the first time with the whole team," said Nadia Nadim, who joined Paris Saint-Germain this season. "The situation these children find themselves in touches me greatly, they're a source of strength and determination for everyone. This magnificent experience really motivates us to meet our upcoming challenges head on."

Sabrina Delannoy, Deputy Director of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, added: "They are great moments, full of emotion for all the players and staff here today. They're magical moments, and a breath of fresh air for the children, some of whom have been in hospital for a long time. Our partnership with the Necker Hospital-Enfants Malades is very important to us, and we'll continue organising these kinds of events, which do good to those big and small."
