Paris Saint-Germain were convincing winners at Lisieux in their first match of this year's Coupe Gambardella (1-5). A look back on the match.

Paris Saint-Germain came up against CA Lisieux Football Pays d'Auge, at the Stade Louis Bielman, in their first match of this year's Coupe Gambardella 2021-22. And our young Parisians didn't take long to make their mark on the tournament! Driven by their attacking strength, Les Rouge et Bleu stuck to the game plan and picked up a comfortable victory in Normandy (5-1).
In front of almost 2,000 spectators, Nehemiah Fernandez opened the scoring after 12 minutes (0-1, 12') before getting his brace just minutes later, with a second header into the back of the net (0-2, 14'). In an ideal position, Les Parisiens added a third goal just before the break thanks to Noah Lemina (0-3, 41'). In the second half, the young striker also secured a brace after taking full advantage of some smart work from Ismaël Gharbi (0-4, 62'). Ayman Kari scored Paris Saint-Germain's fifth goal of the match (0-5, 80'), before the courageous home side scored a consolation goal in the final minute of the match (1-5, 90'). Mission accomplished.

After smartly navigating their first encounter, Paris Saint-Germain will have to wait until 9 January 2022 until their can continue their Coupe Gambardella campaign, in the Round of 64 of the competition. The draw for the next round will take place on 16 December.
