Sandrine Martinet extends her contract with Paris Saint-Germain Judo

Paris Saint-Germain Judo is delighted to announce the extension of the contract of Sandrine Martinet, a French parajudokaplaying in the -48 kg category. Aged 41, she took part in her sixth Olympic Games last summer and won Paris Saint-Germain's first Paralympic medal.

When she was just 21, Sandrine Martinet took part in her first Paralympic Games in Athens (Greece) and became Paralympic vice-champion. Four years later, she won another silver medal, this time in Beijing (China).

Injured in the London Olympics in 2012, the Montreuil native got her revenge four years later at her fourth Paralympic Games, winning the gold medal in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

In Tokyo in 2021, she was appointed flag bearer for the French delegation. Sandrine Martinet won her third silver medal there, her fourth podium finish.

At her sixth Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, she won another silver medal, her fifth Paralympic medal.

‘We are delighted to be continuing our relationship with Sandrine. She is an athlete of exceptional longevity, who inspires the respect and admiration of everyone. Her silver medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games confirms her place among the very best judokas in her category for two decades now.’

Djamel Bouras, President of Paris Saint-Germain Judo

‘It's an immense feeling of satisfaction to be extending this adventure with Paris Saint-Germain. For me, continuing here was an obvious choice. I'm still having just as much fun on the tatamis and I'm still just as keen to learn, to progress and to give the best of myself at the various competitions that lie ahead so that I can win as many podium places and medals as possible for the club.'
