QSI in Paris: 10 years of titles and trophies

In this month of June 2021 Paris Saint-Germain are celebrating ten years since Qatar Sports Investments' arrival at the head of the club. It's a chance for PSG.FR to look back at the trophies lifted in the past decade.

The numbers speak for themselves: since 2011, Paris Saint-Germain as a club has won 48 trophies, including 27 for the men's football team. How can you not talk about the first French league title won in 2013, the first title in 19 years (1994). On 12 May 2013, Paris were victorious away at Lyon 1-0 thanks to a Jérémy Menez goal, and clinched the French league title. A successful season as they finished with the best attack (69 goals) and the best defence (23 goals conceded), 30 goals scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic who finished as the season's top scorer. Paris finished 12 points clear of second placed Olympique de Marseille, the players and supporters' joy during the trophy presentation will stay etched in our minds forever.

The club then won three consecutive titles in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and in a record time in 2016 as they won the title on 13 March 2016, after a record victory this time against Troyes, 9-0. After Monaco took home the title in 2017, the Rouge et Bleu then regained their title the season after on 15 April 2018, thanks to a 7-1 win against Monaco. Paris finished with the best attack scoring 108 buts goals and also as best defence with only 29 goals conceded.

Paris then won two more titles in 2019 and 2020, the latter being interrupted due to the sanitary crisis. The club from the capital have won nine French championship trophies to this day, and will hope to get their 10th next season!

Domestic cups have also been kind to the Parisians since 2011. With 6 Coupe de France, 6 Coupe de la Ligue and 8 Trophée des Champions to their name, the club from the capital have shone on the domestic scene for 10 years. They have the most victories in the three competitions . Paris are a staple of the French football scene. 

The women's team celebrate 50 years of existence this season and won their first ever French league title in 2021 after an incredible season that saw them go unbeaten. In 2018, the Rouge et Bleu won the Coupe de France, a first trophy lifted since 2008 (Challenge de France), a reward for the hard work they've put in. 

Last but not least, Paris Saint-Germain Handball have won 19 trophies since 2011: 8 French league titles (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021), 4 Coupes de France (2014, 2015, 2018 and 2021), 4 Trophées des champions (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019), 3 Coupes de la Ligue (2017, 2018, 2019).
