PSG for Communities and Linkee - Entraide Étudiante come together in support of students

This Saturday, more than 2,500 disadvantaged students received food parcels handed out by hundreds of willing volunteers.

The initiative has one clear aim: to raise awareness among the public, the business community and the authorities of the urgent need to address the issue of student poverty. 

Setting sights even higher

Following the success of last year's initiative, PSG For Communities and Linkee - Entraide Étudiante have renewed their commitment by organising the tenth Cantine Solidaire and the second Forum de l’Aide Étudiante.

Paris Saint-Germain offers strong support

Through PSG For Communities, the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund made the Parc des Princes available, mobilised its resources and harnessed the power of its network for a day that is all about mutual support, sharing and inclusion.

The Club was able to count on the support of judo world champion Margaux Pinot, men’s first team players Bradley Barcola and Presnel Kimpembe, as well as young athletes from the Paris Saint-Germain Youth Academy, to proudly promote the values of solidarity through sport.

A lasting team effort

Linkee, a major supporter of student solidarity, called on the services of its teams, volunteers and partners to make this long human and logistical chain a reality, offering support that is immediate (food and assistance) and lasting (training and occupational integration).

Playing its part was Studhelp, which published a practical guide for students, available on site. More than 650 students in need also received 5,000 staple items.

Why this initiative matters:

• One in five students live below the poverty threshold
• One in two regularly skip meals
• In 2024, Linkee handed out nearly 4 million meals
• 60% of students say they can no longer meet their own basic needs

Cantine Solidaire: a multi-faceted support initiative

• Linkee: food parcels containing fresh produce, fruit and vegetables and hygiene products made available thanks to food-waste commitments
• Forum des Métiers with MediaSchool: guidance, academic careers advice, inspiration
• Practical workshops with Fondation Deloitte, Apec, Unis-Cité and Incambere (advice: human resources, legal, mental health, nutrition)
• Lasting support:
• Thanks to the support of patrons and the Gala Solidaire at the end of 2024, EUR 200,000 in Pluxee vouchers were made available to students in need.
• Some 125 of the most vulnerable students will each receive EUR 1,600 in restaurant vouchers, equivalent to a full year of meals.

The Parc des Princes: a powerful symbol

More than just a stadium, the Parc des Princes is a place where people come together, seek inspiration and excel themselves.

In hosting this initiative, PSG is restating its belief that sport is a powerful social lever and inclusion a core value.

This day of sporting solidarity also featured sporting activities laid on by the charities Drop de Béton and La Lucarne.
