Pilorget: 'An ambitious Paris Saint-Germain'

Ahead of the Coupe de France final against Rennes at the Stade de France, Saturday 27 April at 21:00 CET, for Paris Saint-Germain defender Jean-Marc Pilorget spoke to PSG TV about lifting the cup!

Jean-Marc, the Coupe de France is a very special competition for Paris Saint-Germain…
"Absolutely, ever since winning that first time in 1982, when Paris Saint-Germain reach the final, they usually go on to win it (12 victories and 4 losses)! A prediction for Saturday? Obviously I expect Paris Saint-Germain to win... 2-1."

What do you make of the club's development over the last few years?
"Paris Saint-Germain is an ambitious club. Today, the aim is to win the Champions League. Unfortunately, it's not easy! There have been some disappointments on that level in recent years. But I think it's only a matter of time. I am convinced that it won't be long before the club are European champions."

Thomas Tuchel has just won his first league title with Paris. What do you think of him?
"Thomas Tuchel is a very good coach, very intelligent. It took him a little time to impose his style, but we need to show confidence in him. I think he's the right coach to take us higher."

Kylian Mbappé continues to impress... What do you think of the player?
"Objectively, I can't see another French player like him. I don't even see another young European player as talented and as mature as he is. Neymar and he are players with incredible qualities, capable of unbelievable skill. They are breathtaking footballers."
