Paris Saint-Germain wish happy holidays to the beneficiaries of PSG For Communities
It is now a tradition: Paris Saint-Germain dedicated the last match of the year at Parc des Princes to the beneficiaries of PSG For Communities, the program that brings together initiatives from the Foundation and the Endowment Fund of Paris Saint-Germain. This year, the match Paris Saint-Germain - FC Metz was marked by solidarity, supporting students facing food insecurity as well as sick children.
On the occasion of the International Day of Human Solidarity, beneficiaries of PSG For Communities were invited to enjoy a Paris Saint-Germain experience full of emotions, with solidarity at the heart of the iconic home of the Red and Blue. A strong symbol of this special event: two students from partner associations, Studhelp and Cop1, beneficiaries of the Cantine Solidaire program, had the immense honor of kicking off the match in front of nearly 200 exceptional children invited by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi in the prestigious Carré du Parc des Princes.
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Chairman of Paris Saint-Germain and President of PSG For Communities, declares: “Dedicating our last match of the year to support the amazing work of our PSG Foundation and Endowment Fund, now PSG For Communities, is very special. We want the match to be a symbol – bringing together all the communities of the Paris Saint-Germain family to show support for all those in need. I would like to thank sincerely all the teams, partners and supporters who contribute to our foundational work, which makes such a positive difference to our communities in Paris and around the world.”
Before the match, the children invited as part of the Soirée de Rêve operation had the opportunity to explore the dressing rooms of the Parisian players and experience their arrival at Parc des Princes up close. Positioned by the field for the warm-up, the children could admire their favorite players in action, wearing jerseys with the “PSG For Communities” logo for the occasion. The President's young guests then took a victory lap, receiving a warm welcome from all the stands before taking their seats in the Carré, except for a few who accompanied the two teams onto the field for the players' entrance. After the match, the children were filled with joy as they received gifts from the Chairman of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, as well as from the players. The evening concluded with a joyful celebration of Kylian Mbappé's 25th birthday.
Since its creation in 2000, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation has pursued the club's historical ambition: to support and accompany disadvantaged youth. Its mission is to give children who do not have the same starting opportunities in life the boost they need to discover and flourish. Each year, PSG For Communities has helped over 30,000 beneficiaries through 400 operations.
