Paris Saint-Germain team up with The Minions

To celebrate the release of the film Minions: The Rise of Gru in France on 6th July 2022, Paris Saint-Germain and Universal Pictures France will be treating fans to a series of exceptional experiences throughout the interseason.

On 21st May, at the last match of the season against FC Metz in the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain launched their collaboration with Universal Pictures International France.

Various activations were rolled out for a supporter family entertainement, in the Junior Club stand, including an appearance by two Minion mascots, dressed in the 21-22 shirt specially for the occasion, who had their photo taken with fans. Plenty of exclusive gifts were also handed out.

A host of other activities and branded products will be introduced over the course of summer postseason.

“We are delighted to team up with Universal Pictures to mark the release of the second film from one of the world’s most popular franchises, announced Fabien Allègre, Brand Director at Paris Saint-Germain. The Minions and Paris Saint-Germain both have that rare ability to appeal to a wider audience, of all ages and from all backgrounds. Collaborating with such an entertaining and off-the-wall franchise is an opportunity for Paris Saint-Germain to cater to its younger supporters and treat them to some highly original experiences.”

Universal Pictures will take advantage of this event and the giant screens in the Parc des Princes to screen the trailer for the film in this exceptional venue.

ABOUT THE MINIONS:

This summer, from the biggest global animated franchise in history, comes the origin story of how the world’s greatest supervillain first met his iconic Minions, forged cinema’s most despicable crew and faced off against the most unstoppable criminal force ever assembled in Minions: The Rise of Gru. Steered by the franchise’s original creators, Minions: The Rise of Gru is produced by visionary Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his long-time collaborators Janet Healy and Chris Renaud. The film is directed by returning franchise filmmaker Kyle Balda (Despicable Me 3, Minions), co-directed by Brad Ableson (The Simpsons) and Jonathan del Val (The Secret Life of Pets films), and features the iconic voice of Pierre Coffin as the Minions and a killer ’70s soundtrack courtesy of legendary Grammy-winning music producer Jack Antonoff.
