Paris Saint-Germain team up with Ooredoo to launch a game-changing charity campaign

The Art and the Mobile is the name of a joint initiative launched by Paris Saint-Germain, Ooredoo and Qatar Museums to promote creativity and art.

This exciting venture, in which 11 smartphones have been transformed into artworks in the Paris Saint-Germain colours prior to being auctioned off to the highest bidder, provides a showcase for talented young Qatari artists and reveals the dynamism of the country’s cultural and artistic scene. And it’s all in a good cause.

In supporting The Art and the Mobile, Ooredoo has handed over 11 latest-generation smartphones to these up-and-coming artists, who have turned what is an everyday device into truly unique works of art, each of them inspired by a Paris Saint-Germain star. Among the high-profile muses immortalised by the project are Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi, Marco Verratti, Keylor Navas, Juan Bernat, Alessandro Florenzi, Angel Di Maria and Neymar Jr.

The Paris Saint-Germain players have each signed the artwork dedicated to them, helping to make these cutting-edge creations even more unique. The phones will be auctioned off in the coming days, with the proceeds going to future artistic and cultural projects headed up by Ooredoo, Qatar Museums and the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation. For Paris Saint-Germain fans, it is an unmissable opportunity to pick up a unique piece of art and support a good cause at the same time.

Fabien Allegre, Paris Saint-Germain’s Director of Merchandising and Diversification, said: “This campaign is an important initiative that we have been working on for a long time with our partner Ooredoo and with Qatar Museums. As the leading club of the new generation, Paris Saint-Germain has set itself the task of supporting young artists and giving them the opportunity to express their vision. Art and culture have been the essence of Paris Saint-Germain since its foundation.

Paris Saint-Germain has always been committed to the art world. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the club has stepped up its Foundation’s activities, thanks most notably to outstanding fund-raising collaborations with artists such as Vhils, JonOne and Ludo.

The auction will take place on Ooredoo Qatar’s Instagram account from 5th to 8th July, 2021.
