Paris Saint-Germain President officially launched Club strategic partnership with Desports at Soccerex China

A few weeks after announcing a groundbreaking multimillion euro agreement with Desports, Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi traveled to 2018 Soccerex China in Zhuhai to officialize the partnership.

Together with Desports President and founder Jiang, they participated earlier this morning in a dedicated session on the second day of the conference.

According to the agreement, Desports, one of Asia’s leading sports marketing agencies, will now have the exclusive management of Paris Saint-Germain’s Sponsoring rights and license rights in both China and Hong Kong.The partnership will last for three and a half years from January 2018.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of Paris Saint-Germain, declared: 'We love China. We are looking at China since the beginning in 2011. Investing in this country is a key part of our development strategy but it is not only about business. We aim to contribute in China’s football success. We envision partnerships here for the long term. We believe we have found the right partner with Desports. Our agreement is a major step forward. It is the first strategic partnership outside of France. Together, we are looking at reaching out to more fans and secure more sponsors and revenue streams in this country, which is becoming more and more passionate about football.'

Paris Saint-Germain announced yesterday the dates of its 2018 Asia Summer Tour, which will see the team playing in Singapore against Arsenal (July 26) and Atletico Madrid (July 28), before coming back to China to play the French Champions Trophy in Shenzhen (August 4).
