Paris Saint-Germain pays tribute to Francis Borelli
Thirteen years ago, on 2 October 2007, Francis Borelli passed away at 75 years of age.
The former Paris Saint-Germain chairman, from January 1978 to June 1991, became a part of club folklore on 15 May 1982, when he kissed the Parc des Princes pitch during the Coupe de France victory over Saint-Etienne (2-2, 6-5 on pens.), Les Rouge et Bleu's first ever trophy.
During his 13 years at the head of the club, Francis Borelli also led the club to a first league title in 1986.

A passionate supporter, his love for Paris Saint-Germain carried on until his death on 2 October 2007.
Paris Saint-Germain hasn't forgotten him and has paid a constant tribute to him with the inauguration of the Francis Borelli stand in September 2008.
