Paris Saint-Germain open first Academy in Russia
Paris Saint-Germain will open their first Academy in Russia, in association with Academy Rus LLC.
This project has been driven by Denis Maryenko, an experienced business man and owner of two quality football centres in Moscow.
From this September, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy will host children aged betwen three and 15 years, two to four times per week in a new, indoor ultra-modern football dome in Moscow. This specially-built venue is found in the prized Luzhniki zone, next to the stadium where France won the 2018 World Cup.
The quality arena offers children and parents the perfect setting for learning football in the best possible conditions all-year round (indoor in winter, outdoor in summer).
To ensure high-quality teaching in keeping with the Paris Saint-Germain philosophy, the Academy has named Michael Gaudriller as Technical Director of the project based in Russia. After coaching Paris Saint-Germain youth teams for the last two years Michael will pass on the club's methodology and values. He will be aided by a complete staff (6 assistant coaches and 1 goalkeeping coach).
From November 2019, the budding footballers will also have the opportunity to go on holiday camps in Sotchi, on the Black Sea.
Fabien Allègre, Paris Saint-Germain Brand Director declared: "We are delighted to open this new Academy in Moscow, a new step in our international development. The sporting complex built by our partner will be one of the best in the country and the entire project is geared towards providing a quality experience. We are very proud to have such experienced partners whose ambition matches the demands of the club. We are convinced of the future success of this project that should soon expand to other cities, notably St Petersburg."
