Paris Saint-Germain open a second store and a PSG Café in Tokyo

Building on its success with Japan, initiated more than six years ago on the creation of capsule collection and very positive result for more than a year with its first own shop, the Paris Saint-Germain is continuing its development in the Japanese capital by opening a second store and a café, both of them at the Shibuya Parco shopping complex. The launch took place on Friday 22 November and was attended by club legend Maxwell.

Within a luxury shopping centre, the new shop covers 50 m2 and presents the essentials from the Paris Saint-Germain product range, while the PSG provides an offer for snacking products to take away or to eat in.

Discussing Paris Saint-Germain’s expansion into Japan, Sébastien Wasels, the club’s chief Asia/Pacific development officer, said: “Japan has always been a strategic market for Paris Saint-Germain and following the recent opening of our office in Tokyo, the signing of our partnership with Bulk Homme as well as the launch of our digital platforms in Japan, this new shop and our café is perfectly in line with our ambitious plan to bring the Paris Saint Germain’s universe close to our many fans and partners in Japan.”

“We are delighted to be here today to open our new store and this PSG Café in Tokyo, where Paris Saint-Germain has been stepping up its efforts to develop its brand since last year, said Fabien Allègre, Paris Saint-Germain’s chief brand diversification manager. Located in a luxury shopping centre, these two new spaces have a new positioning, both from a merchandising and a product selection point of view.”

Building on this new extension the Paris Saint-Germain will continue its launch by opening a new 116m² store at Tokyo’s Nagoya Parco next March.
