Paris Saint-Germain mobilises to help Moroccans

In the face of the tragedy affecting Morocco, Paris Saint-Germain is taking action. For its match against OGC Nice on 19 September, the club will donate one euro per ticket to show its full support for the people of Morocco.

The club wants to involve its fans by creating this appeal for donations in partnership with the Fondation de France, one of the very first organisations to get involved.

Through a video broadcast at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain and its players will encourage the entire PSG family to take part.

With over ten years' experience working alongside associations and local players, and with a particular focus on the place of young people and women in society, the Fondation de France now intends to rapidly roll out initiatives to help the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.

Fabien Allègre, Brand Director and Vice-Chairman of the endowment fund: "Paris Saint-Germain has a special relationship with Morocco. We are all deeply affected by the tragedy experienced by the Moroccan people and we are convinced that the PSG family, always generous and committed, has a role to play, humbly, in providing all the necessary help to the local population. The Fondation de France is very committed to this country and is the ideal partner for this operation."

Karine Meaux, Head of Emergencies at the Fondation de France: "Since this tragedy, we have launched an appeal for generosity which has already raised five million euros in just a few days. We would like to thank Paris Saint-Germain and its players for their initiative. Thanks in advance to the club's loyal supporters who will also be lending their support."
