Paris Saint-Germain and Naked Heart France join forces for "Paris for Good" gala event
Over 2 700 000 euros raised to support projects for children with special needs.
Today marked the debut of the PARIS FOR GOOD fundraising gala, hosted against the stunning backdrop of Place Vendôme in Paris. Held on May 16th, 2024, this event received the patronage of Her Excellency Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, rallying support for PSG for Communities and Naked Heart France.
For this first edition, PARIS FOR GOOD successfully raised over 2 700 000 euros to finance essential programs benefiting both PSG for Communities and Naked Heart France. These organizations have united their efforts to enhance the quality of life for children and teenagers living with autism, along with their families, and to support various key initiatives within local communities.
Naked Heart France founder Natalia Vodianova co-hosted this year's PARIS FOR GOOD benefit with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President and CEO of Paris Saint-Germain. Supported by Qatar Years of Culture, the gala was graced by the presence of esteemed guests from the realms of fashion, film, art, and football, including Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, Ousmane Dembélé and other PSG players. Other guests included Olivier Rousteing, Christian Louboutin, Giambattista Valli, Maria Borges, Wallis Day, Miss Fame et Bianca Brandolini. The evening's proceedings were overseen by master of ceremonies Jack Guinness, a model, fashion commentator, journalist, and author. The gala was further enriched by live performances from talents such as comedian Tina Friml and singer-songwriter Tom Odell, all contributing to an unforgettable evening of entertainment and philanthropy.
The highlight of the event was a captivating auction, conducted by Artcurial, featuring 15 exclusive lots. Among these were a jersey autographed by Kylian Mbappé, a chance for a photo shoot with renowned photographers Luigi and Iango, luxurious jewelry pieces from the Messika Glam’Azone collection. Several unique experiences with Paris Saint-Germain were also won, including the opportunity to kick off a match at the Parc des Princes and an unforgettable journey with the players to an away Championship match.
The funds raised will enable PSG for Communities to open a Rouge & Bleu School at the Necker Children's Hospital in Paris. This initiative will provide hospitalized children with access to educational and sports activities, fostering a supportive environment during their stay.
Additionally, Naked Heart France will allocate the funds to introduce the World Health Organization-developed Caregiver Skills Training program in France. This program aims to assist families of children with autism, offering essential support and resources to enhance their caregiving abilities and improve the overall well-being of affected children and their families.
Natalia Vodianova stated, "PARIS FOR GOOD is a joint effort of Naked Heart France and PSG for Communities not only to raise funds to support current program work of our organisations, but to unite each other’s resources to thrive the inclusive football teams and training. And this work is not only about making physical activity accessible. It is about bringing people together, fostering connections, and celebrating the human spirit. We know that at least 1% of people in the world are living with autism. We want these individuals and their families to be heard and respected, and to participate fully in social life, including sport."
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi articulated PSG's commitment to local communities, stating, “As a Club and institution, Paris Saint-Germain is proud to reach beyond the realm of sport. Through our range of annual projects, together with this Charity Gala, PSG For Communities represents our commitment to support the next generation and the broader local community. We believe sport has the unique power to make a positive impact, and we strive to make the dreams of those in need a reality. This year, with this unique charity gala in partnership with Naked Heart, we are combining our efforts to raise awareness about the importance of social inclusion and support for children with special needs – such as those with autism. Our shared vision is to make this annual event the highlight of the philanthropic calendar in Paris.”
Looking ahead, Paris Saint-Germain and Naked Heart France are poised to intensify their efforts in raising awareness and implementing evidence-based initiatives to support autistic children and their families. By fostering supportive, inclusive communities rooted in opportunity, education, and shared values of sportsmanship, both organizations are committed to making a lasting difference.
The PARIS FOR GOOD team would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to its sponsors: Qatar Years of Culture, Potel & Chabot, Moët Hennessy, Loewe, Wheely as official transportation partner, Crazy Pizza for fun pizza party, and Isamaya Ffrench for the beautiful make-up support.
