Paris Saint-Germain and FauveParis’ auction gala cocktail

Over half a million euros were raised through the ten lots auctioned by FauveParis and the Paris Saint-Germain endowment fund.

For the first time since 2019, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, in partnership with one of its patrons, the auction house FauveParis, held a gala cocktail reception at the Parc des Princes last night. For the occasion, some ten lots went under the hammer at an auction from which the profits were earmarked for the Foundation’s initiatives in support of disadvantaged and sick children, as well as people in difficult situations.

Hosted by Vanessa Le Moigne, the cocktail reception began with an exceptional showcase performance by singer-songwriter Ben l’Oncle Soul. This was followed by a presentation by Victoriano Melero, the club’s General Secretary, and Sabrina Delannoy, deputy director of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, on the results of initiatives run by the club this year. This was an opportunity to once again pay tribute to all the educational associations, patrons and partners who work hard alongside the club every day.

The event was held in the presence of first-team players and a number of high-profile figures with a connection to the Foundation, such as rappers Koba LaD and Vegedream, artist Ghass, journalists Anne-Claire Coudray and Ophélie Meunier, ex Miss France Maëva Coucke and television presenter Cyril Hanouna.

All of the guests subsequently participated in the auction, run by FauveParis, which featured around ten stand-out lots, including a one-of-a-kind signed Paris Saint-Germain x Kongo poster, trophies won by the club last season, the opportunity to attend a mini penalty shoot-out with the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeepers, and a unique sculpture by artist Richard Orlinski. The auction raised over half a million euros, which will be used to fund the work carried out by the Paris Saint-German Foundation and the Paris Saint-German Endowment Fund to help disadvantaged young people.

Every year, over 400 actions are carried out by the Paris-Saint German Foundation and the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund, providing support to more than 16,000 children, and training to 350 educators. This year, the Foundation also launched two new programmes that will help women who have been victims of violence and students in precarious situations.

ABOUT THE PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN FOUNDATION:

Since its establishment in 2000, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation has been dedicated to helping disadvantaged or sick children, young people, and communities in difficulty. It develops educational and sports programmes in France and abroad that use sport and its values as a lever for learning, self-development and solidarity. In 2013, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation set up a Fund to collect donations from individuals or companies for the development of its social and community responsibility programmes. Through its social and professional inclusion programmes, its Red and Blue Schools, its support for refugees and its donations to charities, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation draws on the educational and psychological virtues of sport to help those in difficulty.

ABOUT THE PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN ENDOWMENT FUND:

Founded in 2013, the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund gathers donations that give fresh impetus to programmes rolled out for the benefit of disadvantaged children. Through sport and its values, we look to act in a positive, dynamic and targeted way to help young people and adults in need. In the process, we bring comfort to sick children so that they can put their illnesses to the back of their minds for a while, encourage children to help one another and stick together, offer a programme that helps adults find their feet socially and professionally, and provide comfort for people in precarious situations. The funds we collect are used to implement actions that benefit children and young adults. It is thanks to this support that we have been able to increase the number of programmes rolled out and the number of children that these programmes help.
