Spiegler: 'Paris Saint-Germain has a special place in my heart'

A special guest of Paris Saint-Germain at Sunday's Trophée des Champions, the former Rouge et Bleu striker Mordechai Spiegler dropped in on the live pre-game show and shared some of the memories of his time in the French capital.

“To welcome Paris Saint-Germain here is a great pleasure,” the man who scored ten goals in 13 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu in the 1973-74 season told PSG TV. “I have dreamed of this moment forever. It’s a privilege for Israeli football to host this match between Paris and Lille. Paris Saint-Germain is my club; it has a special place in my heart. I didn’t play there for a long time, but it was an important time. I love the club, I follow the club avidly and I was there in Brussels when Paris won the Cup Winners Cup in 1996. I hope I will be there when we lift the Champions League trophy too!”
