Jay Chou becomes patron of the Paris Saint-Germain endowment fund

A long-time friend of the Parisian club, the world-famous Asian star is lending his support to the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund to help give disadvantaged children a holiday this summer.

The Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund is teaming up with Asian singer, musician and actor Jay Chou to allow more disadvantaged children in the Ile-de-France region to go on holiday this summer.

In partnership with the Fund, Jay Chou will be giving children the opportunity to enjoy a one-week stay devoted to togetherness, where they will take part in fun sporting activities such as horse riding, mini golf and, of course, football. This unique collaboration will also see youngsters enjoy a series of artistic activities that will, among other things, introduce them to Chinese culture and the musical and cinematographic world of the multi-talented Asian star, who has hundreds of millions of fans around the world.

This alliance is the result of a strong relationship between the Paris Saint-Germain and the Asian star. Jay Chou's last appearance at the Parc des Princes was in 2021 when he met the Parisian players at the Parc des Princes for the match against Olympique Lyonnais.

When I met the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund’s teams at the Parc des Princes in 2021, I was impressed by the work they do with disadvantaged children,” said Chou. “One of the reasons why Paris Saint-Germain is so popular is because of its commitment and that of its players to the Red and Blue community. I am delighted to be joining forces with the Fund to allow more children from the Paris region to get away on holiday.

We are very grateful to Jay Chou for his donation to the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund,” said club legend Sabrina Delannoy, the director of the fund and the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation. “Jay is a friend of the club, and this donation will allow us to step up our efforts in continuing to fulfil the dreams of children who would not otherwise be able to go on holiday.

Jay Chou gives his support to a number of other children’s charities. In 2009, the star became a spokesperson of the Fubon Charity Organisation, which has helped more than 3,200 youngsters on his behalf. He is also a committed fundraiser for children’s initiatives.
