First edition of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Technical Seminar

As Technical Director of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy, Benjamin Houri has, this year, worked on a new ambitious project: the organisation of an annual 'Technical Seminar' at the Camp des Loges, connecting the technical director and a deserving coach from each of our 17 Academies around the world.

For this first edition, seven different nationalities were welcomed (Qatar, France, Germany, Brazil, Rwanda, Canada, USA, West Indies) for a total of 17 participants from 16 to 19 May just before our traditional Paris Saint-Germain Academy World Cup (from 20 to 25 May).

This seminar was an opportunity to offer them complete immersion in the heart of our elite and youth setups during a week of intense work.

The objective of this type of event is to keep coaches motivated by increasing their competence and their mastery of Paris Saint-Germain's training methods.

The programme for these few days included field observations of everyone from the U10/11 team to the men's professional team, technical interventions and masterclasses with the youth academy's sports coordinator, Yohan Cabaye, and its director, Jean-François Pien. The latter explained their daily work method and the key to the sporting and academic performance of the club's young elite.

The coaches even had the chance to visit the club's future training and youth academy in Poissy, which will open in 2023.

The week of sharing and discovery was more than enriching for our Paris Saint-Germain Academy technical managers.
