Exhibition: 50 years of Paris Saint-Germain at the Hotel de Ville

Celebrating the 50th birthday of Paris Saint-Germain, the club and the City of Paris have put together a photographic retrospective in front of the emblematic Hôtel de Ville. From 1-21 June, everyone can relive the very best of Les Rouge et Bleu via a collection of truly exceptional photographs.

22 photos retrace the 50 years of the incredible history of Paris Saint-Germain: from its creation and its rise in the first division to its prodigious run in the final stages of the 2019-2020 Champions League campaign, via its legendary players such as Rai, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ronaldinho. The exceptional progress of its women's team, as well as the commitment of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation to solidarity, are also highlighted.

The photographs, sometimes unknown to the general public, were selected for the occasion by Michel Kollar, the club's historian. Most of them were taken by Christian Gavelle, the official photographer of Paris Saint-Germain, and plunge the viewer into the world of Paris Saint-Germain, highlighting its irresistible rise over the past half-century in France and internationally.

Jean-Martial Ribes, Director of Communication for Paris Saint-Germain, said: "Paris Saint-Germain is in the right place, in the heart of Paris, for this exhibition. For 50 years on and off the pitch, Paris Saint-Germain has been working for its community and drawing inspiration from its artistic and cultural heritage to make the city shine throughout the world."

Pierre Rabadan, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, added: "The City of Paris has built very strong links with Paris Saint-Germain and its supporters since the club was founded. We share the same values of excellence, elegance and diversity that shine throughout the world. Highlighting the history of our club on the gates of the Hôtel de Ville is to honour one of the emblematic symbols of the capital. This is Paris!"
