Dominique Rocheteau: 'The Parc, a fabulous stadium'

Dominique Rocheteau, a true Rouge-et-Blue legend and sixth on the Club's all-time scoring list, spoke to PSG TV about his memories of facing Juventus ahead of Tuesday's UEFA Champions League game.

Dominique, it must be a good feeling for you to come back here…

"It's a fabulous stadium. It's always been one of my favourites. It's special for me. I played my first game for France here. I also played a lot of games with Paris. It's a real football stadium."

There's a big game coming up on Tuesday. What memories do you have of playing Juventus?

"It's a game that's come early in the season, but Paris Saint-Germain have started the campaign in great form, so it's undoubtedly a good moment to be playing this match. This fixtures evokes a lot of memories for me. In 1983, we played the great Juventus team of Platini. We weren't favourites at all. The first leg was at home, we had a solid team, and we were left with a lot of regrets as we came close to winning. The first leg at the Parc was a great 2-2 draw, a finely balanced game. In the second leg, we thought it would be very difficult but in the end we played really well. We had more chances than them. We missed out on causing a big upset."

Kylian Mbappé is the Club's second-top scorer of all time with just 22 goals between himself and Edinson Cavani. What's your thoughts on his career to date?

"It's exceptional. He impresses me. Aside from his footballing qualities, he impresses me by the fact he's hardly ever injured. He has a great gift for that, and I think he'll have a fantastic career also because of that. He has all the qualities of speed and physique required, his dribbling, his game intelligence, he has everything. He progresses very quickly each year thanks to his intelligence. That's what will make the difference."
