Dagba meets the kids at IME in Clamart

On Wednesday 9 October, Colin Dagba was invited by the Paris Saint-Germain – Children First foundation to training of a handicapped team.

It will remain a very special day for the 16 youngsters from the IME in Clamart and Neuilly-sur-Seine. No sooner changed and ready for training, these kids aged between 12 and 19 were surprised to meet Colin Dagba there to join them for the start of training!

For the last three weeks, this team of boys and girls has been training at the Stade de la Plaine, in Clamart, to prepare for the 'Football is more' tournament at the end of the season, in association with the Paris Saint-Germain – Children First foundation. "It's a great source of pride for the young players and their families and friends, and all the coaches," explained the IME Clamart coach. "And it's also great for the coaches of the Paris Saint-Germain – Children First foundation who created this team."

After the warm up, the 16 youngsters worked on controlling and passing the ball as well as small-sided games, all with the participation of Colin Dagba. The Paris star then refereed a scratch match with the squad and everyone had an exceptional time. "These causes really mean a lot to me. It meant a lot to me to be here today. Obviously I was quick to accept the invitation from the Foundation because I knew it would be great for these kids, who are also Paris Saint-Germain supporters. They love getting the chance to spend time with a player from their team."

After training, the whole squad and Colin had a snack and then took part in a big selfie and autograph session, that these youngsters are not going to forget in a hurry! The Paris Saint-Germain – Children First foundation is just continuing its work with handicapped children as Paris Saint-Germain - Children First assistant director Sabrina Delannoy explained: "We have been offering 'Dream Come True' evenings to handicapped children and inviting them to training at the Ooredoo Training Centre for the last five or six years."

The international tournament will take place in Switzerland at the end of the season.
