Organised by leading sports marketing agency Pitch International, the match will provide fans at the Parc des Princes with an opportunity to run the rule over two teams that have qualified for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, which will run from 20 November to 18 December 2022.

The acclaimed Seleçao have five World Cup wins to their name, while the ambitious Tunisians are among France’s group-phase opponents at Qatar 2022 and will face Les Bleus on 30 November.

The friendly will be Brazil’s first match at the Parc des Princes since they beat France 2-0 in another friendly back on 26 August 1992. For their part, Tunisia will be making their very first appearance at the home stadium of Paris Saint-Germain.

In the last ten years, the Parc des Princes has provided the venue for two official France matches: the 6-0 defeat of Australia in 2013 and the 8-0 win over Kazakhstan in 2021.

We are delighted that the Parc des Princes will be hosting this prestigious international between two of the qualifiers for the next World Cup in Qatar,” said Nicolas Arndt, director of Ticketing and Hospitality Paris Saint-Germain. “The Parc is a historic international football stadium, and not just because it was a regular venue for France through to 1997; in recent years Paris Saint-Germain have, of course, played many Champions League matches at the ground. The match between Brazil and Tunisia will also provide an excellent showcase for our stadium and a dress rehearsal ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, when it will host matches.”

Juninho Paulista, Seleçao coordinator, added: “We are delighted to have the chance to organise a game against Tunisia with the help of the French Football Federation and Paris Saint-Germain. It’ll be a treat to play in Europe. Parc des Princes is a special place. Brazilian players, those who play here in Paris, or in the Champions League, know all about this stadium. It’s the best venue !"
