Arnaud Aregba extends his contract with Paris Saint-Germain Judo

Paris Saint-Germain Judo is delighted to announce Arnaud Aregba has signed a one-year contract extension, taking the 2022 French team champion, who competes in the under-81kg category, through to 31 August 2023 with the club.

Arnaud Aregba won the France U18 title in 2019, and was U21 European runner-up two years later. Last December, the Bordeaux-born judoka won the Europa League in Paris Saint-Germain colours.

In 2022, he won the European Cup in Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina), the U21 European Cup in Banja Luka (Bosnia-Herzegovina), and the French championship Division 1 Team event in Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne). Some weeks ago in Guayaquil (Ecuador), he won silver at the U21 world championships, becoming the Club’s first junior world medallist.

“I’m very happy to continue my career at Paris Saint-Germain, he said. Joining this great club has been a real turning point in my career, and to be able to continue the adventure here is a great source of pride. At Paris Saint-Germain, I have an exceptional opportunity to work and improve alongside multi-medal-winning athletes. We have a very high quality group with a healthy team spirit, and I’m looking forward to being part of that for another year. The support of the staff and the entire judo section of the club will enable me to aim for great goals in this new season.”

“It’s a real pleasure to extend our collaboration with Arnaud, said Djamel Bouras, President of Paris Saint-Germain Judo. He’s on an upward curve and continues to improve, as can be seen by the results in recent competitions with successes in various European cups. He’s got huge potential, and can shine both at a national and international level in years to come. We’re delighted to be able to continue helping him develop within the Paris Saint-Germain family and with our staff.”
