10 clubs from the Île-de-France for the 2023 Club Tour

On Monday evening in the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain hosted representatives from the ten clubs from the Île-de-France who have been selected to receive a visit from the Club Tour during the Easter holidays.

Having to apply for the first time did not deter the clubs, with more than 200 of the 980 clubs present in the region submitting an application. The main criteria for selection were that the candidate clubs must have both women’s and men’s squads, that Paris Saint-Germain must select clubs from all departments, and that suitable facilities must be available.

From 24th April to 5th May 2023, 1,000 children aged between 10 and 13 will benefit from activities designed especially for the occasion by the technical staff from Paris Saint-Germain’s Youth Academy. At the end of these training sessions, the young players will go home with a souvenir of their Paris Saint-Germain experience, in the shape of goodies, a footballer’s handbook, and the tips and advice they have gleaned from the coaches leading the course. An unforgettable experience for all of the boys and girls involved.

It will also be an opportunity for the Parisian training staff to chat with the coaches from the amateur clubs and share their advice and good practice.

Yohann Cabaye, Assistant Director of the Paris Saint-Germain Youth Academy, announced, “The Club Tour is a way for us to thank the region’s clubs. We are lucky to have such an extraordinary breeding ground for players. This event allows us to meet with the coaches and gives the children a chance to dream. This proximity is very important to us. They do a remarkable job; we are counting on them to continue nurturing new talents.”

Maxime Agostini, Brand Manager at Paris Saint-Germain, added, "We are delighted with the work done by Paris Saint-Germain's Youth Academy staff in providing young football fans with a high-quality course that indulges their passion for football. As shown by the large number of applications submitted, the Club Tour is very well received. In three editions, it has become a major footballing event in the Île-de-France.”
