Luka Karabatic: 'Turn our attention to Flensburg'

Reactions

On Tuesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain Handball continued their run of four matches in one week, winning in style against Kielce (37-26) in their rescheduled EHF Champions League Matchday 9 clash. Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Luka Karabatic and Vincent Gérard.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"We were very strong in defence and our attack was effective. That's why we won by such a big margin! Kielce are a complicated team to play but we turned in a great performance. We've had a lot of matches postponed and I don't know what will happen to the games that can't be replayed. However, I already know that we have to look ahead to Flensburg, where we will also have to win."

LUKA KARABATIC (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CAPTAIN):

"It's rare to have such a complete performance, so you have to know how to take advantage of it. It wasn't easy to approach this match, because in our frantic rhythm, we only had one day to prepare for it. We know that against such a well-established team, it's never easy... We created a lead at the start and we put a lot of intensity into it. We were sharp in defence and we helped our goalkeepers well.

"Whether you win by one goal or by ten, you still get two points for a victory. We're not making too many calculations. We just want to climb the table. It was necessary to win in style and that's what we did. Now we have to turn our attention to Flensburg. Once again we won't have much time to prepare, so I hope that the confidence we gained tonight will help us there."

VINCENT GÉRARD (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL GOALKEEPER):

"We played a very accomplished match; we were complete from start to finish. We were lucky enough to take the lead from the start and not let go. We were able to widen the gap throughout the match. We were serious and it's a real satisfaction. With this great success, we put the element of head-to-head goal difference in our favour (+9 for Paris on aggregate). We have to use each game to work and tonight we were very efficient. The calculations are a bit complicated to do, since no two teams have played the same number of games. Now we will head to Flensburg, where we will also have to get the win."
