Ferran Solé Sala: 'A fast pace and plenty of goals'

News

Paris Saint-Germain Handball continued their flawless Lidl Starligue run on Saturday evening, winning away to Chartres (29-39) in their Round 17 clash. Henrik Toft Hansen, Raul Gonzalez and Ferran Solé Sala looked back on the win.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"The beginning was difficult because their defence posed us problems. But we were able to stay focused! I'm happy, because we have a lot of games to play and we are continuing our flawless run in the Lidl StarLigue. If we do well, we can work better. We should be proud of our victory, but we must quickly look ahead to on Tuesday's match against Kielce, which will be complicated. It's the first time we've played four games in one week. The players are going to rest on Sunday, then we'll do some video and slightly shorter sessions."

Ferran Solé Sala (right wing of Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-winger):
"We controlled the game well from start to finish and we increased our lead throughout the match. There was a fast pace and plenty of goals! But we scored more goals than them and we won with a nice lead. We stayed serious for all 60 minutes. We know that if we slacken off, we can be caught quickly. It is necessary for us to continue in that vein. We started well in a week with four matches. Big matches against very good teams await us. For the moment, we're focused on Kielce, who beat us in the first leg. It will be difficult."

Henrik Toft Hansen (Paris Saint-Germain Handball pivot):
"Our schedule is very complicated at the moment, with all the matches we have to play. Today, we had to stay focused for 60 minutes. It was also a nice match for Chartres, who ran a lot. We had some problems in defence and attack, but that's normal. I'm happy with this victory and we can look forward to next week. I'd rather play the games than have them postponed, but I like it better when the public is there. But it's not possible... Against Kielce, it will be an important match, we will miss our fans. We will be able to win, but we will have to be concentrated during the whole match."
