Carlos Soler’s and Pablo Sarabia’s Spain lost 2-1 to Japan in their third and final group game at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
A few days after their 1-1 draw with Germany, Luis Enrique's side came up against Japan last night in a top-of-the-table clash in Group E. Despite La Roja dominating proceedings, it was the Samurai Blue who managed to come away with a 2-1 win. Spain still made it through to the next round by finishing second in their group, however, behind their opponents for the evening.
Our two Rouge et Bleu players, Carlos Soler and Pablo Sarabia, were unused substitutes in this game.
