Signe Bruun: 'Give everything to reach the final'

News

Pride and ambition were to the fore after the Paris Saint-Germain Women's team secured their place in the UEFA Women's Champions League semi-finals with victory over Arsenal.

Ashley Lawrence (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
"I'm very happy, very proud of the team. It wasn't an easy game, but I think we deserved the win given the way we played. We created a lot of chances and in the end we scored. I think we showed a lot of good things. We showed character. We deserved to win. We showed our qualities. We were at this stage with the best eight European teams, and now we're among the best four. We have a complete squad with quality players. We play very well together. We have a good attitude, the staff and the players. With all those ingredients, it shows we're a team that can win the title. That's our goal. We have several players who can score. We have creative players who can create chances and we're also solid defensively. It's good to score goals, but you also have not to concede. That starts with our goalkeeper and defence. We play together, we make an effort for each other and that's what counts."

Signe Bruun (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"Of course, I'm very happy to help the team. It was an important game, and we absolutely wanted to progress. I think that we played well overall, we worked hard and were rewarded. I think we have a good chance of going far in this competition. We're playing good football right now. We're going to work to be ready for the next round. In the Champions League, every match is difficult. We played well today. We know that at this level, you have to battle in every game, and we did that again today. We managed to win the game and I'm very proud of my goal. The boys are a source of inspiration for us. They've reached the final, that's also our aim. If it's possible for them, it's possible for us. We're going to give everything to do it. We're going to support them tomorrow. We believe they can do it."
