Preview: Our Parisiennes in Brittany - EA Guingamp-Paris Saint-Germain Women!

News

After their derby draw against Paris FC last week, the Paris Saint-Germain women's team will be out to return to winning ways when they travel to bottom club Guingamp. Kick-off is at 21:00 on Friday 21 March at the Stade de Roudourou, broadcast live on Canal+ Foot.

Head to head

In the last five clashes with En Avant Guingamp, Paris Saint-Germain have won four times and drawn once, at the Stade de Roudourou at the end of last season (3-3). In the first meeting this season, our Parisiennes won 4-0 at the PSG Campus, with a brace from Romée Leuchter and goals from Sakina Karchaoui and Agueissa Diarra.

The capital club have only lost once in 24 Arkema Première Ligue trips to Guingamp (13 wins, 10 draws), their worst record against a team they have played at least 15 times away from home.

The dynamics

Paris Saint-Germain came away from their derby with Paris FC with a draw (0-0) that saw our Rouge et Bleues retain second place in the Arkema Première Ligue. Guingamp lost away to Le Havre (2-1) last Saturday. Bottom of the league with 3 points, the Brittany side must turn things around if they are to beat the drop. Their only victory of the season came in October, when they beat fellow strugglersStrasbourg 3-2.

The keys to success

Full-back Tara Elimbi Gilbert, 19, is Fabrice Abriel's most used player, with 16 starts and a total of 1378 minutes played in the Arkema Première Ligue this season. Paris Saint-Germain have the fifth-youngest squad in the league, with an average age of 24 years and 121 days.

Grace Geyoro decisive against the Bretonnes: with five goals scored in 13 matches against Guingamp, our midfielder has only done better against Montpellier (7) in the competition.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto came off the bench against Paris FC on Saturday, having been subbed off with an injury in the Coupe de France. She has the most goal involvements of any Parisienne this season, with nine goals and two assists in 15 matches.

Guingamp, youth and internationals

Despite being a very difficult position in the Arkema Première Ligue, EAG have the third-youngest squad (average age 23 years and 323 days) in the league. Jérôme Bonnet can count on international players, in particular goalkeeper Morgane Sieber, who was called up to the France A team last December. Forward Sabitra Bhandari is a Nepalese international and centre-back Sofia Guellati is regularly called up to the Algerian national team.
