Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Alana Cook.
From Far Hills, New Jersey, the young American started her career at The Pennington School before going to the prestigious Stanford University in California in 2015. There, she played 93 games, scoring five goals over five seasons, and starting every single game! In 2017, the Cardinals' captain helped her team win the Pac-12 Championship. The 21-year-old finished 2018 with the honour of being named the league's best defender. The new Paris Saint-Germain recruit has also made five U20 appearances for the USA.
"I'm very happy to continue my career at Paris Saint-Germain," Alana Cook said after signing her contract. "I really wanted to come to a European club and to play against the best teams in the world. My new club offers me that opportunity. I'm looking forward to playing alongside really great players and showing what I can do on the pitch."
"We're delighted to see Alana Cook join our squad," said Bruno Cheyrou. "Alana is a young central defender with a lot of potential to get even better. She's a player for the future, who will help the club in the big domestic and international games to come."
