Victory as crunch clashes loom

News

Our Parisians continue to fire on all cylinders with their respective national teams at the 2019 World Cup.

Spain - Iceland: 32-25
After an opening win over Bahrain (23-33), Rodrigo Corrales and Viran Morros remained victorious against Iceland yesterday. An accomplished and business-like performance allowed our Parisians to take top spot in Group B ahead of the clash with Japan on Matchday 3 - with battles against Macedonia and Croatia to follow.

Croatia - Japan: 35-27
Croatia also clinched back-to-back wins, having dispatched Iceland in their first outing (27-31). Luka Stepancic's five goals in this match took his tournament tally to 13 in just two matches.

Third in Group B, Croatia have a tough challenge in their next match as they take on Raul Gonzalez's unbeaten Macedonia side.

Macedonia - Bahrain: 28-23
After beating Japan (29-38), the team coached by Paris Saint-Germain Handball boss Raul Gonzalez added Bahrain to their list of victims. Second in their group, Macedonia's next outing comes against neighbours Croatia in what should be their first real test of the tournament.

Sweden - Argentina: 31-16

In Group D, Sweden are clear atop the standings, having beaten Egypt in their opener (24-27) before hammering Argentina. Kim Ekdahl Du Rietz played his part in proceedings, striking once as the Yellow and Blues ran riot ahead of their clash with Angola.
