Despite the fact that Paris Saint-Germain Handball fell to a defeat away to Kielce (38-33), Vincent Gérard turned in a great performance and earned a place among in the Top Saves of EHF Champions League Matchday 6.
With 12 saves, the last bastion of our defence shone brightly against the Polish side. And it was against of one of his France teammates - Nicolas Tournat - that he proved the sharpest. Unmarked in PSGH's goal area, the former Nantes player had all the time in the world to find the back of the Parisian net. But Vincent managed to parry the close-range effort with his left arm, deflected it harmlessly over the bar. A superb save that deserves its place among the five best of the round.
A just reward but one which our goalkeeper must be getting used to - he has figured on this list for the last three matchdays in a row!
