After a week without a match, Paris Saint-Germain Handball are back in the Liqui Moly StarLigue action on Saturday evening! For Round 9, they play host to Aix at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin.

1 - THE TABLE 

Les Rouge et Bleu are winning one match after the other! Unbeaten since Round 3, they are on a series of five consecutive victories and share the top spot on the table with Montpellier and Nantes.

For their part, PAUC have been blowing hot and cold since the start of the campaign. Heading into Round 9, they sit in sixth place, with five wins and three losses. Aix are coming off a defeat, conceded in the last minutes against Montpellier (29-31).

2 - KEY STATS 

Defensively, the two teams are very close! They have both conceded 228 goals since the beginning of the season and have quality goalkeepers. For Aix, it is Alejandro Romero who stands out the most by winning 37% of his battles with the opposing forwards (49 saves). For the Parisians, the excellent Andreas Palicka has saved 79 shots!

In attack, Les Rouge et Bleu are doing better than Aix, with 273 goals scored compared to 239 for Aix. Kamil Syprzak and Elohim Prandi are both in the top ten of the scorers chart, with respectively 51 and 54 goals.

3 - A CHANE TO CATCH UP WITH WILLIAM, NICOLAS

Two PAUC players will be playing on a court they know well: Nicolas Claire, who played in the capital between 2006 and 2013, and William Accambray, who played for us from 2014 to 2017. Both players were crowned French Champions with Paris Saint-Germain Handball. 

4 - HEAD TO HEAD 

Aix and Paris have played each other 20 times in the Liqui Moly StarLigue, with 18 victories for our team and two defeats. Paris have not lost to Aix since 2017!
