On Sunday, the Parisians travelled to the Phare de Chambéry for their Liqui Moly Starligue Round 8 clash. Having beaten Saran 46-31 at Coubertin last week, Raul Gonzalez's men had just one objective: to pick up their eighth win from as many games as they headed into the international break.
With both sides having played on the European stage in midweek, the match began slowly (5': 1-1). However, the Parisians quickly got into their stride and took advantage of every mistake Chambéry made to open up a three-point lead as the end of the first quarter approached (12': 3-6). And when the home side got back to within a goal, Les Rouge et Bleu hit three unanswered goals, forcing Erick Mathé to take the first time-out of the match (18': 6-10).
However, this time-out had little effect, thanks in particular to Andreas Palicka's excellent first half. As the break approached, the Swedish international kept his side in front with what was already his seventh save of the match (23': 8-12). Serious and diligent, the capital club increased their lead to five at the break (30': 12-17).

After the break, the Parisians did not slow down and Kamil Syprzak continued his scoring spree with an eighth goal of the match (35': 13-20). The Polish international then followed up with a brace as the final quarter of an hour rolled around, thanks in particular to a splendid free throw (46': 21-27).
In money time, our players calmly managed their lead on the scoreboard (55': 23-32). After a match that saw them control proceedings from start to finish, the Parisians were declared winners over Chambéry to continue their unbeaten run in the league (60': 26-34). Now it's time for the international break, before returning to Coubertin on 10 November to face Dijon in Liqui Moly Starligue Round 9.
